Windermere Lane and Maryport Lane Sewer Separation

This page was last reviewed on September 1, 2026.

The lanes south of Windermere Ave (between Second Street and Fifth Street) and Maryport Ave (between Third Street and Seventh Street), are slated to have the existing combined sanitary and storm main replaced. In addition to replacing approximately one kilometer of failing clay or asbestos sanitary mains, a new storm main and connections will be added to prevent stormwater from entering the sanitary system.

This project is part of a sewer separation program that helps upgrade the Village’s underground infrastructure to prepare for the future and helps prevent unnecessary stormwater from entering the sanitary system which reduces the demand on the Village’s wastewater treatment facilities. Anticipated start time is fall 2026.
