Village Seasonal Decorations and Lights

The Village of Cumberland Parks and Public Works staff have once again collaborated on decorating the Village this year. “By lighting up the Village during the darkest month of the year we hope to add some festive cheer to the heart of our community during the holidays,” says Mayor Vickey Brown.
On November 29, in collaboration with Elevate the Arts, the Villagers’ Tree Light Up event occurred at Village Square. This year, in addition to lighting up the big spruce tree, lights were added to the perimeter of the park, including to the birch trees and front garden bed areas. Lights have also been added to the trees on Dunsmuir Avenue.
Installation of a star at the top of the big spruce is no longer an option due to tree growth, damaged branches and safety protocols.
