Learn about how communities can work together to decrease traffic congestion and increase student and community safety and health through School Travel Planning.

The SD71 Active School Travel team, Active Comox Valley and the Comox Valley Cycling Taskforce invite you to attend this presentation to explore the possibilities for collaborative action in the Comox Valley. Parents, students, educators, elected officials, municipal operations and neighbours all play important parts in Active Travel success stories. Please join us to hear from HASTe and discuss how we can get our children moving safely in the Comox Valley.

Parents, children, educators and community members are invited to a presentation by HASTeBC on Thursday, November 22, 2012 at the Glacier View Learning Centre.

This is an opportunity to learn about how communities can work together to decrease traffic congestion and increase student and community safety and health through School Travel Planning.

HASTeBC provides information, tools and resources, coordinates programs and municipal networks and showcases community success stories. HASTeBC currently works with communities such as Vernon, Vancouver, Surrey, Langley and New Westminster to support Safe Routes to School through a successful nationally recognized School Travel Planning process.
