Are You Prepared for an Earthquake?
Posted on
British Columbia is very seismically active, and experiences many small earthquakes each year. There is also the chance that a larger earthquake could happen at any time.
A large earthquake could damage infrastructure and buildings, cause flooding and fires, and force many people to leave their homes.
If an earthquake does take place, there may not be any warning. Residents should know what to do in case of an earthquake and have an emergency kit with at least 72 hours of supplies ready.
