Recent weather events in our Province have reminded us that early notification can be vital for public safety. Comox Valley Regional District – Local Government, City of Courtenay, Town of Comox, Village of Cumberland, and K’ómoks First Nation have partnered together to distribute local emergency notifications by text message and voice calls. These emergency notifications are intended to inform you about incidents that could impact you. Residents can also follow the Village of Cumberland Emergency Program Facebook page, which provides urgent information to Cumberland residents regarding local emergencies, evacuations, alerts and orders.
