It’s Emergency Preparedness Week.
Did you know that all residents in the Comox Valley Regional District have an emergency notification system which will notify you in event of a natural disaster or emergency? It will help provide you with vital information. Choose to receive notifications by text or phone. Don’t delay. Sign up today. Visit https://comoxvalley.connectrocket.com/ or call 250-334-6000.
Residents can also follow the Village of Cumberland Emergency Program Facebook page, which provides urgent information to the public regarding local emergencies, evacuations, alerts and orders.
“Get informed – know the risks within your community, make a plan and an emergency preparedness kit,” states Comox Valley Emergency Program Coordinator Howie Siemens. “Ensuring you and your family have a plan in place will alleviate extra stress and confusion in difficult times. Every step we each individually take reduces the burden on our emergency response personnel.”
