Are you cleaning out your garage and garden sheds?

You can drop off your residential household hazardous waste at the Comox Valley Waste Management Centre on Bevan Road on these days from 9:30 am to 5:30 pm:

  • Saturday, April 13, 2019
  • Saturday, May 11, 2019
  • Saturday, June 8, 2019
  • every Thursday and Friday

What can you drop off?

Household hazardous waste includes residential leftover household products such as

  • household cleaning products
  • motor oil and antifreeze (and their containers)
  • brake fluid
  • car polishes and waxes
  • pool chemicals
  • chlorine bleach
  • rat and mouse poison
  • flammable materials
  • paint, stains and finishes

The Waste Management Centre also accepts empty antifreeze and motor oil containers for recycling. Bring them to the attendant.

What does it cost?

The maximum you will be charged is the $4 site access fee for products that do not fall under Product Stewardship program.
