Join the Cumberland Heritage Committee

Posted on

The Village is currently recruiting new members to its Heritage Select Committee which advises Council on heritage conservation, researches history and develops statements of significance for heritage buildings and places.

The Committee also reviews and makes recommendations to Council on referral of development permit applications and heritage alteration permits in the downtown commercial area.

Through their work, Committee members help to increase the understanding and appreciation of Cumberland’s history, heritage buildings and places and ensure that building renovations and new buildings along the Dunsmuir Avenue commercial corridor support the Village’s heritage character.

To apply to join the Committee, please download an application form and submit your application with your resume to the Village in person or by email to info@nullcumberland.ca by Tuesday, September 17, 2019. Applicants may be asked to meet briefly with Council members on the evening of Monday, September 30, 2019. We look forward to hearing from you.
