June 14 – Community Broom Removal in Coal Creek Historic Park

Everyone is welcome to come out on Saturday June 14 and join the Broombusters, the Coal Creek Historic Park Advisory Committee and the Village to remove broom from the orchard area at the No. 1 Japanese Town Historic Site in Coal Creek Park.

The event will begin at 9:30am and participants can stay for as long as you would like. Loppers (and instruction on broom removal best practices) and snacks and refreshments will be provided. Bring gloves and clothes suitable to the weather conditions.

Meet at the gravel parking area at the base of the coal hills. The site can be accessed off Comox Lake Road and down the dirt road, marked by the red “No 1 Japanese Town Historic Site” sign.
