Parks and Trails Update

The Parks department has been busy! In partnership with the Cumberland Community Forest Society, the Village Parks staff are creating outdoor classroom spaces in the forest.
These include logs placed for seating and woodchips spread on the group to protect the underlying roots and soil. The goal is to protect and restore spaces that see overuse. Future phases will include planting native species, signage, and additional restoration work.
The Village bike jump park is also seeing some improvements with a renovated double black line, as well as a redesign of the pump track, and a regraded green line.
