Reminder: Stage 3 Water Restrictions Continue
Posted on
Residents are asked to continue to conserve water to ensure a safe drinking water supply.
Our water use can increase by 50% in summer and early fall, largely due to lawn watering. Watering regulations are an effective way to help us use our drinking water wisely.
The Village of Cumberland water system is currently under annual Stage 3 water restrictions as of October 4, 2023 and will likely remain until November.
Stage 3 Water Restrictions – Lawn watering is not allowed.
During Stage 3, you may not
- water a lawn or boulevard,
- fill a swimming pool, hot tub or garden pond,
- fill or operate a non re-circulating fountain, or
- wash a vehicle or a boat with water
