Snow and Ice in the Village

Posted on

With temperatures expected below zero this weekend, drivers are reminded to drive to the conditions and reduce your speed. Road conditions can change quickly when temperatures are around the zero mark, so please be prepared for ice on the roads.

Cumberland public works is ready for sanding and salting operations, if needed, with the priority being main transportation routes to provide emergency access in and out of the Village.

Residents and business owners are asked to keep adjacent sidewalks clear of ice and snow. You can use ice-melting products on sidewalks, but please be sure to use products labeled “concrete-friendly”.

See our snow and ice page for more information about on snow and ice control in the Village, including sanding and snow plow priority routes.
