Updates on measures being taken this week to deal with missed (organics) collection from last week and this week, and missed recycling collection.
The missed collection this week is due to staffing shortages resulting from sick employees.
Organics
To allow residents to drop off organics and yard waste Emterra has three “recycling” bins with lids placed outside the fence line of their yard (2982 Ulverston Ave/Royston Rd). These will be in place for the next three days including overnight until the morning of Friday, Jan 21, to allow for after-hours drops for residents who work during the day to use.
Recycling
A large recycling bin has been placed in the Cumberland Recreation parking lot (corner of Dunsmuir Ave & Sutton Rd), to allow residents to drop off recycling until the early morning of Fri Jan 21. This is subject to early morning pick up to empty/return it by Emterra, likely before 9 am.
