Thank You to Residents for Following Social Distancing Measures

Cumberland Council members thank Cumberland residents for following social distancing measures as directed by Provincial Health Officer to help break the chain of transmission of COVID-19, including
- limiting activities outside the home,
- keeping 2 metres between yourself and others when in public places, and
- staying home when sick.
Council members also recognize and ask for residents’ patience while the Village implements coordinated closures of public spaces in response to directives from the BC Ministry of Health. Council members have heard residents’ concerns about public places in Cumberland where people tend to congregate and is working to address these concerns while working with the regional Emergency Operations Centre and direction from the Province in a coordinated response.
Provincial and Federal health authorities continue to be the lead agencies for COVID-19 response.
