Use Caution on Logging Roads and Trails South of the Village

Posted on

Hikers and bikers are asked to use caution using logging roads and trails south of the Village as there is currently high volume of use of Davis Lake Main by industrial vehicles. Davis Lake Main runs from south of Comox Lake Road , past the chlorine shack, immediately south of the Village centre, and east to the Trent River Main.

Between the yellow gate at Sutton Road and the gravel pit east of the Cumberland Community Forest, the road is being used by contractors working on the Comox Lake Road stabilization project. Meanwhile, Davis Lake Main will also be an active haul route for Hancock’s ongoing forestry activities adjacent to the chlorination shack in the very near future.

Please ride at slower speeds in these areas and watch for big trucks!
