Village Secures Future Fire Hall Site

The Village of Cumberland has finalized the purchase of 2.5 acres of land for a future fire hall at 4382 Cumberland Road, located between Primrose Street and Kendal Avenue. In selecting a site, a number of factors were considered, including fire service coverage, site access and egress, site size, geotechnical investigations, and fire department operational requirements.
Staff will continue to work to assess the needs for a future fire hall in order to move the project forward. In the meantime, the site will be used as a staging area for summer road construction in the Village.
