Volunteers Sought for 125th Community Celebration ‘BELONGING’

Our community is coming together on June 10th for a big celebration called Belonging 125 featuring Live Music and Cultural Performances, Strawberry Tea, Community Dumpling Project, Street Games, Museum Exhibition, Interactive Art, Lantern Making, Satellite Events and More!
Belonging 125 commemorates the 125th anniversary of the incorporation of the Village of Cumberland. It is also a day to reflect on the unfolding story of Cumberland, and to renew our commitment to work together to create a place of belonging for all Villagers.
Volunteers have already been involved in making over 5000 dumplings (!!!) and we are still looking for volunteers for the day of the event. All the shifts are nice and short (under 3 hours) so you can enjoy all the fun!
Volunteer options include delivering invitations to neighbourhoods, set up and tear down, serving at the Strawberry Tea, serving Dumplings to the community, and helping to create beautiful lanterns as part of the “Lighting the Way” community lantern making project!
