The Village of Cumberland invites applications for the full-time position of Public Works Charge Hand.
Currently the Village is in the process of completing construction of a new water treatment facility and reservoir along with implementing expanded maintenance utility practices. The Public Works Charge Hand is a key member in assisting with the expanding needs of our organization and the community, and the Village of Cumberland is seeking a knowledgeable and enthusiastic individual to fill this role.
The Charge Hand position, under the direction of the Public Works Foreman, is responsible for assisting with organizing the safe and efficient day-to-day operations of the Public Works department. This position assists with the supervision of crew members; including planning, scheduling, monitoring, and reporting on tasks and projects that have been assigned, processing invoices, assisting with yearly operations and capital budgeting, developing safe work procedures, and building effecting working relationships both internal and external to the organization.
