Village Seeks Quotes on Cemetery Irrigation Project
Posted on
The Village is accepting quotations from experienced contractors for the supply, delivery and installation of Phase I irrigation system at the Cumberland Cemetery.
New water services, landscaping, and irrigation were identified as priority improvements to the cemetery through community feedback in 2014.
In December 2015, 28 trees were planted in the cemetery including 9 red oaks, 4 Zelkovas, 2 columnar beeches, 2 maidenhair trees and a big leaf maple, as well as a number of shore and Scots pines. This is part of Phase I improvements to the cemetery. Phase II may include further landscaping, irrigation, road re-alignments and top dressing as well as new options for interments and memorials.
