Water Advisory: Potential Water Discolouration Following Recent Fire Response

The Village would like to advise residents that some areas of the water distribution system may experience temporary water discolouration following the significant water demand associated with a recent fire response.
During firefighting operations, large volumes of water were drawn through the system at high flow rates. These increased flows can occasionally disturb naturally occurring mineral sediments within water mains, resulting in water that may appear cloudy, yellow, brown, or rusty in colour.
At this time, the water remains safe for normal household use; however, the discolouration may be noticeable until the system returns to normal operating conditions.
If you experience discoloured water, we recommend running a cold-water tap for 1-2 minutes until the water clears.
Village staff are monitoring the system and may conduct watermain flushing in affected areas to help restore normal water quality. We appreciate your patience and understanding.
